K-Bro’s reusable O.R. pack program called “KOR Services” is administered by a Registered O.R. Nurse. We have proven that by using the latest surgical barrier fabrics, an effective inventory management system and a well designed and managed pack-room, we can compete very effectively with disposable surgical gowns and drapes. Almost all of K-Bro’s customers have chosen a reusable program as the result of significant cost savings and environmental considerations. The following are instrumental to the success of our KOR program:

• K-Bro employs registered nurses with both O.R. and CS/SPD experience to ensure a high level of credible customer interaction including in-service training for surgical staff. These nurses also play a significant role in ensuring our own internal quality assurance standards and training are maintained.
• K-Bro provides only the most advanced operating room textiles including micro-fibres and laminated membrane fabrics such as GORE™ Surgical Barrier Fabric.
• K-Bro recognizes the strict policies and procedures that are imposed on hospital operating rooms and collaborates with hospital administrators to meet those needs.

K-Bro manages the KOR program using state-of-the-art computerized barcode/RF chip technology. Surgical drapes and gowns are identified to track their location and complete usage history, including quality control and repair history. This system ensures compliance with stringent regulatory standards and accuracy of pack assembly.
