K-Bro Linen Systems Inc. K-Bro – founded in 1954 – is a trusted leader in laundry and linen services with 9 facilities across Canada.  K-Bro services some of the most recognized healthcare and hospitality organizations across Canada, including Vancouver Coastal Health, Fraser Health, Providence Health and Provincial Health Services from our state-of-the-art facility in Burnaby.  In 2017, K-Bro expanded overseas into the UK with the acquisition of Fishers Laundry Group.  Today, K-Bro employs approximately 2,600 employees and is publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX:KBL)

Position Summary

The role will be based out of our state-of-the-art facility in south Burnaby and will work closely with the following stakeholders:

  • Internal: Executive Director / General Manager / Contract Manager / Purchasing / Production
  • External: Contract Manager / Regional Director / Healthcare Professionals

The primary role of the Product and Service Innovation Manager will be to meet or exceed K-Bro’s contractual obligations as it pertains to product and service innovation.  More specifically, the role will:

  • Understand K-Bro’s current product and service offerings and keep a close pulse on the latest product and service developments in our industry
  • Identify opportunities to enhance K-Bro’s products and services through an in-depth understanding of customer and end-user needs, processes, and constraints
  • Take end-to-end ownership of new product and service development, including idea generation, process redesign, stakeholder engagement, sourcing, cost analysis, business case generation, and implementation
  • Work hands-on with both internal and external stakeholders as necessary to successfully deliver on all contractual obligations on time
  • Work closely with the Purchasing department to develop mutually beneficial partnerships with key suppliers
  • Support the General Manager to ensure that K-Bro’s execution of contractual obligations is best-in-class
  • Strengthen K-Bro’s competitiveness through building trusting relationships and offering innovate solutions for our customers

 

Job Skills Required

The type of individual we are seeking for the position will possess and will have a proven track record of the following:

Education/Training:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related
  • Current or Past RN


Experience:

  • 5 + years frontline patient care experience, and/or
  • 5 + years with a medical supplier or services company
  • Working with frontline medical care professionals
  • Working with healthcare administrators
  • Project Management

Compensation/Remuneration:

K-Bro is an equal opportunity employer and offers a competitive compensation package.  For the Product and Service Innovation Manager, the compensation will consist of a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, as well as a comprehensive extended benefits package.  The base salary for this role will depend on the successful candidate’s experience and credentials.
